More Apples

That night our old friend John Kitchens, Dirty John as you may know him, drove up from DC. We had dinner at the Sea Grill overlooking the ice rink at Rockefeller Center. We had the chef's tasting menu paired with various wines, it was excellent. We ran in NBC Studios where they were taping SNL and also in the Fox building where Richard works.
We made it back to Queens around 12am and decided to head to the Irish Cottage for one drink . . .
Many beers and Harvey Wallbangers later, Walk the Line came on the jukebox and the tambourine seemed like a great idea. The bartender's claim to fame was that he used to be on Boy Meets World. He was actually really great even though that show is so terrible I've never seen it.
We did not see Babalou or his hat or John Lennon.
While we were there, snow was pouring down. It was beautiful. To finish the evening, we had ourselves a good ole snowball fight. This was the highlight of the trip.
