It's a beaute Clark, a real beaute!

The 2006 Vaughan family Christmas Tree. Chosen by the dogs, cut by Gary in Phenix City, AL.

The stockings are all hung . . . at least until Santa fills them with goodies, at which time all the dogs will pull their stockings down to eat and play with those goodies.

Chesnuts, I mean doggies, roasting on an open fire . . .

Shelby nestling under the tree . . .
Bricks enjoying the fire when it was cold last week, or the week before. Or wait, has it even been cold this December?
Tough life for a Golden.

Hit the Road Jack

I was going back through our folder of dog pictures, found these and burst into laughter. These pictures were taken two years ago when we went to see Kevin and Sue for the Ohio State vs. Michigan State game. We thought we would bring along the dogs for a visit. Shelby looks particularly amusing.

Sunday Afternoon out at the Ponderosa

I took the herd out to swim and frolic Sunday afternoon - found out that Bricks likes the water too. Shocker.

Hello Bricks!

Say hello to our new (and permanent) family member . . . Bricks. He's a 1.5 year old male Golden rescue who is a big teddy bear. He is so gentle and kind. He's also a big boy weighing in at about 80 pounds..

Bricks on left, Red Dog on right.
He and Savannah have gotten to be big pals - didn't take very long.

Low Tide Low

After Demop, we traveled to Tuscaloser for the football game. Weather was perfect, great tailgate thanks to my Aunt Kaye, and got to see Dick Pritchett and Shawn Allen, Esq. Auburn winning 22-15 was the icing on the cake.
Dad adjusting his fannie pack before game time-who wears a fannie pack?!
From L-R: Mom, Uncle Dan, Thomas Glenn, Stacy and Miss Shirley (Sue's Mom-her parents flew all the way from Michigan for the game!)
Brock, Dad and Rob - choking the war chicken. Ha! Not so fast my friend.

The Red Barn

Richard came in town for the Auburn/Bama game weekend, so we carried on a tradition from two years ago of going to the Red Barn in Demopolis for drinks. We had the best bartender last time, Mauree Ann. We all took bets on if she still works there . . . sure enough she does!

'Nuff said.
Forrest? Is that you Forrest?

UGA-ly Tailgate

Delayed once again . . . these are from the UGA game Nov. 11th. Game was a debacle, tailgate was a success.

Who are these guys?!!
Brock came in town

Goose!

We have been fostering Goose the Collie for about 2 weeks. He is jsut a big, goofy boy with a sweet and gentle personality. He and Savannah are buds. Tricia calls him a Sheltie on stilts.

Old Blog, Old Crow

Way back when I used to post on this blog, we went to see Old Crow Medicine Show at the Alabama Theatre on a Thursday night. Allison & Joel went also and it was an awesome show. Great venue. Great music.

Gator Meat

Gary's cousin Cristina and her boyfriend, Buddy, flew in from San Diego for the game. Gary's Mom came down as well-lots of new faces at our tailgate!

Camping part two

The coyotes were running and howling but the dogs curled up around the fire and were sacked out. Some watch dogs.

Camping on the Ponderosa

Last Saturday night we camped out at our land . . . weather was perfect!
Wow.

Perlins, Perlins Everywhere

Mom & Dad with Kevins & Sue before the LSU game at our tailgate.
Um, the cutest dogs ever . . . all in support of the Tigers on gameday.
Great picture of the happy couple on our back porch.
Sue & Sum . . . after the party . . . ready to rally?
