the exersaucer this morning was particularly amusing!

what a smile. really, what can be so bad with a smile like that?!

um, sometimes you just gotta take a quick nap with your stuffed dog over your face. too funny! henry loves this dog stuffed animal/little blanket from nancy. his name is mikhail (long story).enjoy the laughter caught on video . . .

his head still looks huge in any tummy pictures we take!
bricks and shelby trying to play with henry. and, no, that's not a new animal in our household - it's "cheech" the cheetah.

busy thursday

henry and I have had a busy day today. henry attended his second lee county auburn club board meeting this morning. he had some valuable input, like "pbbbttttt" and "ahhhhh" and "ooooohhhh." we were able to take a few minutes to play though before heading to work.

somehow this picture got turned upside down, but he is fascinated by his friend the ceiling fan.

and equally fascinated by his foot

oh henry

he just keeps getting more adorable . . . at least his parents think so. this is how I found him Friday morning when I went to wake him . . .

hanging out with savannah friday morning - needless to say, as soon as I snapped the photo, she got up and walked away

henry came to work with me last friday and was perfect. he played with his new toy and napped well in his moses basket (which he is sadly almost too big for)

crazy bath time hair last night

alligator, alligator, alligator pie

henry is 5 months old today! he is growing out of most of his 3-6 month clothes, so I've been packing up a good bit of them. he still has a few things he can wear that aren't 6 month sized though. it's exciting to see each "stage" and watch him discover new things each day; however, packing up his smaller clothes did tug at my heartstrings a bit. thinking that he will never be that small ever again is somewhat bizarre and that the next time those clothes are worn, it will be by someone other than mr. H (if we are blessed with another boy). anyway, the packing just made me reflect a little . . .
Henry can roll front to back and almost back to front. He just doesn't really feel the need to roll around very much which is totally okay by us. He has the rest of his life to be "mobile" so we are in no hurry. he does move around a lot in his crib at night though. he was 15lbs 2ozs last week at the doctor's office. his eyes are still very blue with a circle of green around the pupil. he is great at grabbing things now and his coordination is really improving. he really is a big flirt and doesn't hesitate to give a great big grin. another frequent question is "is he eating cereal or foods yet?" and the answer is not yet. we are waiting until the six month mark.
congratulations to heather and harold who welcomed georgia marie goss(Gigi) into the world on june 11th, weighing 7 pounds and 20 inches even! I can't wait to meet her. they are going to be such wonderful parents - they are an amazing couple.

merry a sunflower

henry moved around in his crib a lot last night and this is how he looked when I went in to wake him up this morning. there is also a picture of H and his summer time babysitter, Jordan Lee.

lastly, instead of planting peppers and tomatoes this year, we planted sunflowers instead. henry seems to approve.

count 'em down time

until Emilie's big day! that's right, her wedding is only two weeks away. a group of gals from college got together to celebrate her last few days as a singleton. we had a great time.

goose!

some of you may remember a very special collie, Goose, we fostered right before we adopted Bricks. Goose was adopted by a family and has been with them for about a year and a half . . . until this past week. The family RETURNED him to the shelter here stating they moved to a house with no fenced yard and did not want to build a fence for him. What a load of crap! Excuse me, but that is ridiculous. Anyway, he is back and in need of a good home if you know anyone that is interested. It's times like this when I wish we already lived on the Ponderosa so we coudl just take him. He is middle aged, neutered, very kind/gentle, and in good health. It just kills me someone kept him for over a year and then just dropped him off, just like that. I really can't say enough good things about this sweet boy . . .
