eight o'clock?

on our house we oftentimes ask, "is it eight o'clock?"

this means, are savannah and bricks in the same place, doing the same thing?

most times the answer is, yes!

I don't know if it is a Golden thing, or if it is a savnanah and bricks thing, or what ... but comical it certainly is. and cute!

christmas 2010

stockings were hung by the chimney with care ... st. nicholas was surely there, in so many ways.

unwrapped gifts from santa ... most for others. you've heard it before and will hear it again, this season is not about gifts and things. I am so glad to be able to spend it with family and friends. LOVE is the term of endearment that follows this season, but every day. God loved us enough to send his Son. He loved our family enough to keep it together this year.

He was filled with love, His cup overflows. And Gary, well his cup overflows too.

we had a wonderful visit with all of our families. it was perfect! it even snowed here on christmas day ... first time in over 100 years.

as I love the snow, this was one of my favorite gifts!

I could write many a paragraph about Christmas, what we did, what it meant.

magical. memorable. magnificent. meaningful.

It was truly so nice and we all had a lovely time.

henry loved him and owen thought he was pretty neat too.

henry told us that he told mr. C he wanted a "car and a train" and that he had been a good boy. let's hope he started out with a merry christmas and a thank you - we couldn't hear! this car ... he asked for a red jeep wrangler with a tire on the back. not just any car, goodness!

I thought owen would chew on his beard ... he didn't. but we also didn't stay for a long, long time. it was much fun indeed!

christmas program

henry had his very first program ... at preschool they did a christmas program. they sang jingle bells, go tell it out on the mountain, rudolph the red nosed reindeer, and we wish you a merry christmas. I have to admit, I was so excited for him. he did great! he made the below face most of the program (not sure what this is?).

the video is quite adorable. way to go H! he loves to sing and usually belts it out around the house, so I was curious to see what he did the actual day of. he didn't belt it out, but he did sing. it was heart warming to see him and all of the other two's and three's.

the weekend we decorated the tree henry had the croup, so he didn't participate as much as we had hoped, but hopefully it was a bright spot for him.

the selecting of the tree

here is our 2010 christmas tree ... we always cut it and bring it home. we normally take the dogs too, but this year that didn't work out. the place we normally go is done with trees so next year we will have to go some place new, and with four legged friends hopefully.

Auburn won the SEC championship this season in case you didn't hear (ha!).

thanks to gary's mom for keeping the boys for us so we could watch the game and go to toomer's corner ... it was a great one! for those fo you that don't live here, Mr. Penny is well known around Auburn. and, he is a HUGE auburn fan. after this win, the community raised enough money for he and his wife to go to glendale!
