suzanne, kevin and adam welcomed sweet katelyn eleanor perlin to the world on monday, january 24th. 

7 pounds and 21 inches of the pure wonderfulness of a newborn.  what a blessing!

birthday getaway.

gary and I decided to forego the joint birthday "party" for the boys this year in light of everything, and thought that some good family time would be the ticket. this past weekend we celebrated henry's third birthday (jan. 13th) and owen's first birthday (feb. 1st) at orange beach. we stayed at my aunt and uncle's supremely nice condo for a long weekend. we ate in the condo mostly, but did venture out for two dinners and enjoyed some tasty seafood. it was a little on the chilly side (high 52, lows in the mid 30s), but there was an indoor pool and lots of sun. really though, pouring rain would have been fine by everyone. it was just so nice to be together and have a gorgeous view. happy birthday, boys! they had a wonderful getaway.

still hard to believe henry is three and owen will be one next week~I'm sure every parent says that, but there is so much truth behind it. where oh where does the time go?! enjoy each day!

at home that night we had a little family dinner of momma g's (chosen by henry. he always orders a kid's half momma's love with no lettuce and no mustard. yum!). pumpkin pie avec candles for dessert.

being three is marvelous!

since the boys' birthdays are two weeks apart, gary and I got them a joint (in the family, refurbished and perfect!) gift which we decided to give then on henry's birthday. a kitchen! they love it.
